Our Organization Today

Our work does not just stop at aiding and supporting KUL.  We also justify our existence by contributing to society as a whole.  In the last ten years our organization has contributed over $100,000.00 towards other educational and charitable endeavors.  This includes financial assistance to Canadian colleges and universities.  We have provided and continue to offer a scholarship for students wanting to attend the Summer School of Polish Language and Culture in Lublin, Poland (KUL).  We have given financial support for Polish Saturday school initiatives, Polish folklore groups, Polish literary contests as well as initiatives pertaining to youth in both Polish parishes in Edmonton.  We have partnered with the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate (Holy Rosary Parish) as well as the Sisters of the Holy Name of Jesus (Our Lady Queen of Poland).  We have worked closely with both of our beloved parishes.

Our support also extends to the Bethany Senior Citizens Society, The Seniors Friendship Club, the Christmas Bureau, St. Joseph’s Seminary, Newman Theological College, Polish Radio-Anioł Pański , the Polish Radio Program “CKER” and various Rotary Clubs.  We are “co-funders” of the Blessed John Paul II Library located in the Holy Rosary Parish.

Our organization has received a Gold Medal of Service for KUL.  Also, several of our board members have been awarded gold, silver, and/or copper Medals of Distinction.  There are ten active Friends of KUL organizations in Canada at the present.
