Fr. Dr. Tomasz Krzesik, OMI
Oblate of Mary Immaculate, b. Born on September 15, 1972 in Ząbkowice Śląskie, in the Archdiocese of Wrocław. After graduating from high school, he entered the novitiate at the Congregation of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate at Święty Krzyż near Kielce and made his first religious vows in September 1993. Seminary studies in the years 1993 - 1999, at the Higher Missionary Theological Seminary in Obra. On November 23, 1998, at the Pontifical Faculty of Theology in Poznań, he obtained the degree of Master of Theology. He was ordained on June 19, 1999 by Archbishop Juliusz Paetz. After his ordination, he was sent to the parish of St. Stanisław Kostka in Lubliniec, where he was a vicar and catechist for a year. From 2000, he served as a missionary-recollectionist, residing successively in religious houses in Kodeń, Wrocław and Poznań. During this time, he gave nearly 100 series of retreats and parish missions in Poland and Canada. In 2001, he was admitted to BA and PhD studies in the field of homiletics at the Faculty of Theology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow, in the Department of Religious Communication. At the same time, he studied rhetoric at the Faculty of Polish Studies of the Jagiellonian University. In December 2004, he passed the bachelor's exam and presented a thesis on the topic: "Method of popular missions of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate in Poland", obtaining a bachelor's degree in church theology. In the years 2006-2008 he collaborated in the creation of a Catholic program: "In the circle of faith" in the Wrocław center of Telewizja Polska, giving short comments to the Sunday Gospel. He is the author of a publication devoted to the Marian sanctuary in Kodeń entitled: “Skazana na Wygnanie. History of Kodnia and the Sanctuary ", as well as " May considerations with Our Lady of Kodeń ". In addition, he published a stage work devoted to the history of the Kodeń sanctuary, entitled "Return", as well as a book of religious poetry "Seeking. Thoughts recorded along the way. In 2010, he was sent to work in the Oblate Province of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Canada. Initially, he stayed in Edmonton, then in two Polish parishes there, preparing linguistically for the ministry in Canada. From August 2011, he served as vicar at Holy Spirit Parish in Winnipeg. In September 2014, he goes as a vicar to the parish of St. Eugene in Brampton. In September 2016, he was sent to the capital of Canada as the pastor of the local parish of St. Jacek Odrowąż. In 2017, at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow, he obtained a doctorate in theology, presenting a dissertation on "The problem of purgatory in Polish preaching after the Second Vatican Council". From September 1, 2020, he takes up the duties of the parish priest of Saint Casimir Parish in Vancouver. From September 2023 - pastor of the parish of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in Edmonton.
Fr. Kazimierz Tyberski, OMI
Fr. Kazimierz serves at Holy Rosary Parish since 2021. Fr. Casimir was born and raised in Warmia, Poland. At the age of 15, he left his family home for Silesia and began an independent life there. He worked as a bricklayer, then joined the Red Berets special unit. After leaving the army, he worked in Olsztyn and then joined the Congregation of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. For over 20 years he was a chaplain in penitentiaries in Iława and Wrocław. also served as a pastor of the deaf and dumb and prisoners. The motto that accompanies him in his pastoral work is: 'There are no lost people – there is sin and there is God's grace'
